Henry used his winnings to help set up his new Ford Motor Company and build the famous 999 cars. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_999
He personally set a world speed record in the car. I've always wondered if Ford built the 289 small block in honor of the 999. It had 289 CuIn - per cylinder. |
