Oil or coal?
This neat pic was posted on HAMB by Swi66. The fuel tanker truck needs an extra axle. I guess you could call it an AAA. The second and third trucks are 28s with the wire wheels.

When I see these old commercial vehicle pics, I always wonder about the color combinations. The dark bodys with lighter cowls must have been striking and immediately recognizable to the locals.

Looks like those 28 AA hub caps have been a problem holding onto since way back when.

Neat pic! I'm guessing the tanker was new, which occasioned the photo op - it has no front plate and the tires are cleaner than the other two. Would be interesting to know what the color scheme was.
