B correct fuel pump AC parts/kit??
At the NW nationals my fuel pump failed. found that the diaphram came off the stem, and parts plugged the ports. So who has the Kits-all the lid gaskets ect.?? It is correct with the easy check valves. Newc

Re: B correct fuel pump AC parts/kit??
Newc,
Initially I built your pump using a different top portion....the original top was compromised due to the fire. I know some changes were required after the trial fit to your motor and that's OK no sweat. On average I build 25 pumps a month and to my knowledge I've never had a diaphragm fail for any reason. I'm over the top embarrassed by what you had to go thru especially after your herculean work getting the truck ready. At your convenience...here or with a PM take me to the wood shed....never too old to learn. Charlie ny [email protected] |

Charlie's pump did Not fail- it was not used. I used a core AC pump that was correct by appearance. Newc

Re: B correct fuel pump AC parts/kit??
Renners corner is the main place for the Model B fuel pump kits. I do not use his check valve discs, or diaphragm but use the remainder of his pieces. PS There is nothing wrong with his diaphram or valves I just prefer what I use.

Re: B correct fuel pump AC parts/kit??
Like Michael, I rely on Dave Renner for B fuel pump and carburetor parts. Like Bored & Stroked, I am wary of kits as often as not the diaphragms included won't last long with today's gasolines.
