Default Question on heaters

Did Model A's come with heaters or were they all aftermarket?
Just realized mine doesn't have one.

Model A's did not come with heaters. They were all accessories.

If you are old enough to remember as a child I was told to put on my car coat .

I am not that old , and all of our cars had heat , but not the A model .

My mother called our winter coats , car coats .

If you install a heater, and don't have a hole in the firewall, I'd install a hot water heater and run the hoses through the wood floorboards. I don't like to cut holes in the metal firewall, and you won't have the heater manifold in the way of working on the distributor.

That's right the distributor is kind of in the way. I am with you I don't want to chop away at the firewall either. I put an A manifold heater on my T but ran flexible hose down to floorboard instead of through firewall and under the tank.

This car had a Gasoline heater in a box but not installed yet. Not interested in that either.
I have a different Gasoline heater in a rail speeder I have. It's like 60K BTU's in a 4 foot square cab.

I have pictures of my Nanny taking hot bricks from atop the wood stove wrapped in cloth to the Model A to keep our feet warm. Unfortunately I WAS TOO COOL FOR THIS PANSY CRAP SO i HAD FROST BIT TOES WHEN WE ARRIVED HOME.
