Default Rear Body Patch Panel 1929 Murray Town Sedan

Anyone know if this item can be found? Have a rusted out lower rear body that was previously bondo-patched. Common suppliers don't seem to carry this and Fordbarn search came back with nothing on the subject.

I don't know of anyone making this panel. Best to see if you can buy a good original. If you were closer I'd build you one.

I'm not quite sure just which panel you mean or both? The left side, behind the wheel, I believe can be had, Worst comes to worst, Try Howells sheet metal. If you mean the rear splash apron (Across the back of the car) I think this panel can be bought used. I don't believe any one is making them as they're only used on Town sedans. I needed one for my 30 Briggs Town Sedan. That year, I found three of them at Hershey. The year before I found two, and they weren't cheap. Take the rear seat out and (I think) you'll see how it's connected to the body. The side, inner fender panel can be made and welded in with out too much trouble. Make sure the patch panel big enough to cover all the rusty metal. Don't leave any "Lacey" areas.

Looking for the apron section. The left rear quarter panel is crumpled somewhat but but works fine. Looks like I will need to visit Hershey or find a local body shop. Thanks for the input.

Hold the phone! I just remembered Bill Haberer of Mod A acres in Watsontown, Pa had a few of them, and none were 30 Briggs. They were all something else! (29 Murray? I don't know) I've got his number around here someplace but you might want to try the vendors list up front. Or try Bert's in Denver. Steve Becker has a Mod A Junkyard plus the store. Steve's a member here and he might have one. Good Luck
