Funny that you should mention it. That is what I almost always wear when I'm out in my Model A. Especially if I am going to a show.

Still have the all wool, union made "scully" cap gotten in Boston back in 1968. Bought that head gear down at the ancient Jordan Marsh department store bargain basement. Remember there being a big pile of the things in all shades of tweed and woven wool. Recollect the price sign being something like $2.99 each. The liner partially rotted out long ago and at least two wives have off n' on repaired it. Yes . . . the hat lasted longer than a couple of the marriages. That very same cap has been worn over the decades since while driving at least a half dozen Model A Fords and lots of other vintage automobiles. Its kind of a good luck deal.

The new ones today are good quality too and they come in different top sizes for across the top.

The wife bought two for me, seems when I wear the black one I always win 1st place, both of these pics are in the last 30 days.
Just seems right to wear it...a "fedora" also works well when going out to dinner.

PS: Good to be back...been busy as hell

These caps are good for the common man peddling his Grit perhaps, but a true distinguished and refined gentleman of renown wears a boater when in the Model A. :-)

Yep, looking good in the old straw hat, only question I have is...how do you reach the pedals?

Of course I'm just kidding

Since you have a pick-up, find a pair of overhauls for him too. That would be a hoot!!!

If I did that then he would likely disappear with some ol' farm gal from farmersonly.dom and I'd never get my truck back. :-)

He already disappeared for a month with my sidecar when he thought he was a forest range so don't give him any ideas. :-)
