Help ID this flathead Ford V8 "ELIMINATOR" camshaft

A buddy of mine dropped this by my work today, wants me to sell it for him...only I have no idea what it is. Kinnda weird. I think it is an 8BA as it has no slot up front for the distributor but has a bolt on front distributor drive gear. The front and center bearing surfaces have an oiling grove cut into them. and looks like it was done with a cut off wheel, and the rear oilng grove has had the ends blocked off by welding. I would assume for high oil pressure?

It appears to be a new billet, and has ELIMINATOR stamped into the snout. Can anyone ID this thing...or even better, got any specs?

Tim, why do say it a 32 core? it has the gear on front for the 8BA dist. I don't know why someone blocked that groove in the rear journal, there is no oil pressure there there on that rear journal, the only way that rear bearing gets oil is what runs in from the back gears and there is no pressure back there. These were modified this way by boring out the front and pressing in a plug then turning it down for the 8BA front distributoe, I've done several. Same with the bolt on gear, but I've never done that.

No problem. I was looking at '32 cam at Hershey a few days ago, had the same tell tale "oil grooves" in the journals.

Also, the machining marks in the snout.

The post just below inquires about .010 stamped on the remanf. tag three time. I notice this cam is stamped with .010.
Could this be the area where the cam bearing ride was cut .010. because it is a '32 cam?
Most of the '32 motors didn't have cam "bearings as the later engines.

Yes, the journal diameters are probably .010 undersize and will require the appropriate cam bearings. The rear oil groove is blocked off when the rear cam bearing has been pressurized which will cause oil to spray out on the crankshaft and rob mucho power.

From the pics it appears to be an original Potvin Eliminator.
The stamping on the nose is as the originals appeared.
I have reground many over the years and they have a distinctive look to the machining style also.
It definetly needs to be reground to be usable and the rust pits on the journals could be a problem if it needs to be more undersize. This would require home made bearings.

That's a Potvin Eliminator, all right. When Chuck Potvin moved his equipment into Dean Moon's shop, I called him for a Potvin Eliminator for my 304" flathead. (1983?)
Dean said they could supply me with that cam, BUT!
Unless I had a 1932 Ford V8 cam core, there would be a monsterous core charge...('32 V8 cams were steel, not cast... Chuck Potvin only cut the eliminators from steel cam cores)
I found one eventually, Brian Burnett had it. This stick had more 'snap' than any others I ever used...like witchcraft!

So chuck machined the front of the press on cam gear snout to be a bolt on also ?
