Door lock issue
My 30 Tudor has the passenger door lock in the locked position with no key. Ive tried removing all the screws and rotating as far as I can but the shaft is just short of rotating enough to remove it from the door. I would like to be able to lock/unlock this door, but cant get the door handle out...any suggestions?

Re: Door lock issue
Is there a locksmith that you can drive to and see if they can help?

Re: Door lock issue
Lock smith! I have heard a smith can blacken a blank key, insert the key which makes marks on the blank, they then file the blank.

Re: Door lock issue
A frozen Model A door lock can appear totally impossible to unlock .... even for the FBI .... especially today's FBI.
From experience, however, please do not give up. If you can remove your lock, please do so before ruining it, and please call Model A locksmith Mr. Dick Crabtree at 605-487-7229 ..... he can also make Model A keys for any original Model A ignition switch or door lock. Excellent reasonable work. |
