Default How does the 1931 window regulator differ?

At the swap meet today, I had a guy ask me if I had a 1931 window regulator for sale. Does anyone know how a 1931 might differ from other years.

I know that I have a couple of versions of the window regulator someplace in my garage, but I don't know what model or year they came off of.

I looked through my old copy of the judging standards, but could not find any references.

Can anyone help?
Pictures would be great.
Thank you.

Regards, Neil

A 31 window regulator or did he mean a slant window body regulator?

The slants got a different type of window regulator with 3 gears and 2 arms.

Kevin, When the guy calls me I will ask if he was referring to a slant windshield.

I have attached a picture of a slant window regulator.

I have already taken the handle part off.

Regular one armed window regulators were made two ways. The ones for the standard plain handles had a split square shaft ( for the set screw to hold the handle on). Deluxe cars had a hole in e square shaft for the pin to hold the handle one. Slant windshield cars had two arms on the front door regulators as pictured above. Then several odd ones were made for A400 rear quarter Windows, special deliveries etc..
