Question "56 Meteor Manual Choke?

I have a '56 Meteor Rideau Victoria. It has an original manual choke. Never seen another. This bone stock and knob matches all the other so no way it could be anything other than a "56 unless.... any insights/comments?

I would think that is going to be a hard item to come by. I'm running 3x2's on my 57 Ford w/manual choke. I put an aftermarket choke cable on until I could find an original setup for it. Took a while to find everything. I found the dash chrome piece that says "CHOKE" on ebay and a member on "the hamb" had a cable. I'm sure there's some 56 Ford sites out there along with ebay.

Actually I was wondering if this was an option, available on Meteors only, or what. I have one on my Meteor already. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

never saw a hand ch0ke on a Rideau which is on the same level as a fairlane. I have a 56 Rideau town sedan with tea pot and auto choke which is what yours should have but maybe you could order a hand choke.

Not being familiar with the Canadian cars, is or was your car a 6 cyl?

On some 6 cyl cars, a manual chock was factory. I had a manual choke
(factory) on a 6 cyl 64 Fairlane
