Re: The garage was cold today
Too bad you don't live close, have a new Dayton 220 Volt garage heater that's never been plugged in. Bill W.

Re: The garage was cold today
How did you reset your mileage dials? I've wanted to do this, but haven't figured out how.

Re: The garage was cold today
Wouldn't it be a blast, if I had an old spare speedo, spray the drums flat white & with a fine ink pen, just pen in RANDOM numbers! Chief would go Krazy!! He'd say, "Lets get Mama to letter them, she writes GOOD"!
One more thing while I'm UNSTABLE, I always wanted to do an assbackwards steering rack or an upside down pittman arm & see if I could learn to master the beast, Chief would help me just for laughs! I slid down in gravel on my motorcycle, elbow BLEEDING, still laying on the bike, motor still running, chain flopping a strange tune, sidewall of rear tire still trying to throw gravel, Chief's on the front porch laughin'!!!!!! Life is GOOD! Bill W.

Re: The garage was cold today
Chris, I have radiant floor heat, and it is the best. When I lay under the cars it is sooooo much better then my old garage.

At a VW event many years ago, someone made a Beetle with backasswards steering and cut the centres from the road wheels and welded them back in offset from the middle. It wobbled up and down on each corner as you drove along, steering opposite to the way you wanted to go. Looked awefully difficult!

Re: The garage was cold today
I also have radiant heat in the floor of my garage. It keeps the temp at 68 degrees 24/7. Check out Radiantec .com Good product, good price.

Re: The garage was cold today
Radiant heat is the way to go. It uses less energy than convection heating, because radiant energy heats objects not air like the other forms of energy. Costs a little more to install but costs lots less to operate. It is so great to lay on a warm concrete floor!

Re: The garage was cold today
warm floor? sounds good.
I have not built a garage since 2000. that one was in north Florida so heat was not really required. now my solution to cold slabs is our Backyard Buddy lift. no more crawling under cars!
