Default Model A water pumps, shafts, and fans- Need an edumacation

So obviously I don't know much about the Model A parts since I'm mainly a Model B/V8 guy. So I am wanting to know the differences in the water pump fan hubs and shafts. I took out an engine with a 4 blade fan and tried to mount a 2 blade on it for a more antique look. But they are different. The 2 blade has a tapered inside and is sloppy on the shaft,so I didn't even try to bolt it on. Can you guys school me with some useful knowledge on this subject/ Thanks in advance.

The A & B should be able to use the same fan, can you post a picture
of the shaft.

If an old part the four blade fan was from 1933-34. The '32 was a 2 blade fan like the Model A. The Green Bible show's the four blade as a replacement beginning in1928, thus they should all interchange. If you are working with an aluminum 2 blade fan many of the early ones were a sloppy fit and should be avoided. How about some pictures?

Looks like the two blade taper has been enlarged. Normally they are all interchangable

I would remove the collar and see how the fan fits.

Removing the collar would put the pulley back too far and there is still no taper to fit into. Richard's answer makes sense, but why would they hog it out like that?
