Welcome Ren'e. Great looking car. Sorry about the spelling of your name: my iPad won't won't let me put the accent above the E. You must get a lot of compliments on a daily basis with that car. Jeff

Rene', were dual taillights required in 1929, or today? Or just someone's choice to set up?

Welcome. I also have a 29 tudor. It is Vagabond green with Rockmoss trim and upper back. A color combination that might have been on yours, but 80 years of sun fading makes it hard to tell. From the photos it looks like yours might be an unrestored survivor. If so it should be preserved and its details documented as a source of information on the 29 tudor. Good luck with your model A!

Lovely car Rene, just how I like them! Side lights on the front fenders like your has were a legal requirement in the UK. Was it the same law in the Netherlands?

One of the things I really enjoy about FordBarn is that we get to share this hobby with people from other countries. It's really nice to have this in common with each other. Welcome to FordBarn. Frank

What a beautiful machine, and I love the original paint. I would really like to see some pictures of the interior.

Welcome aboard!

Jeff, on the iPad hold the e key for a second or so and it should allow you to pick various es with their accents. ėęēęčeéë

Welcome René. I'm fairly new here myself but have already picked up a number of useful tips and bits of advice.

Hello Rene'...welcome to the forum. Spent time in your country, enjoyed ever minute of it too. Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Arnhem, Oosterbeek, Nijmegen, Grave and a few places along Hell's Hiway. Lot's of bicycles, tall good looking blonds and the best satay in the world.

There is an article in the November-December 2016 issue of MARC's Model A News about "The Border Meet 2016" concerning all those Model A'ers in Norway, Sweden, Denmark. There are three Scandinavian Model A Clubs there. Were you in that group photo?

Great looking 29 Tudor Sedan...have one myself.

Welcome.

Pluck

Rene, great looking car. If you happened to get to Haarlem, may run into my cousins in that city. But on the other hand, the Netherlands has a large population and seeing a couple of my cousins is very remote. Have fun with your car and enjoy this web site-great info if you need it from these guys and gals.

Well well, thats a warm welcome......i try to answer your questions, but you have to forgive me my spelling, never learnt your language only from watching tv.
@chuck Dempsy:dual taillights are legal nowadays,not in '29
@pgerhart:i think you are right about the color,it has faded and in some places gone.My intention is to leave it this way, only an oil rag restoration.
@Johnbuckly:the law demands 3 sorts of front lights, high beam, low beam and what we call city lights, previous owner put thes on as city lights.I keep it like this, they are not in the way of something.
@steveplucker:no,Amsterdam is not Scandinavia,it was not me.
@Hazelhoff:Hello Henk,on Saturday 21-1 the A Ford club has the"jaarvergadering" in Baarn,i will be there(if there is no snow)are you going too?
@Fred Kroon:yesterday i was in Haarlem but i did'nt see your cousin......or i did see him but i did'nt know it was your cousin.......
About the tudor:i bought it last june as a runner but the engine was totally worn out so i chanched the engine by a complete overhauld one, overhauled the gearbox and new clutch and when this was done i went on a 3 week roundtrip thru Holland,Belgium and Germany using only a small tent and camped on small campplaces each day another campplace,I drove about 2000miles only using local roads and no highways,no gps only a roadmap,no cellphone or other electronic devices and a loved it.Now i have about 4500 miles driven with the tudor using it as a daily, only thing since the overhaul that broke was a taillight bulb, and i swapped the waterpump for a non leaky one.
