Default PDF copy of the restoration and standards book

I've been trying to scan the book in and make a searchable document with terrible results.

If I can prove that I really own the book is anyone willing to supply me with an electronic copy? I'm willing to reimburse for time and materials to make me a copy.

I figure if you give me a specific page and ask for the first figure number/caption on that page it would prove I really own the book.

Mike,
Are you having trouble scanning it or making it searchable?

actually both, I need to interleave the even and odd pages and make the document searchable. I have a real old version of adobe. I've only tried it with a few pages so far.

The fastest way would be with a scanner that does multi page double sided, that is only part of your issue though. You will also need to do what is called OCR, so the words and numbers are seen as text and numbers not just as a picture. It can be done but it takes good software and manual clean up. It would be better if the ones who produce the orginal document just converted the document to pdf. They could imbed a license key to prevent coping. Good luck I to have the latest copy and would have liked a official pdf copy, maybe someday it will happen.
