1930 cowl band question
Hi,
I am in the process of installing the cowl band for my '30 roadster and not sure what goes here... Is this for the bolt that holds down these clips... https://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/s...owl+band+clips Wondering if someone has a picture of these installed?

Re: 1930 cowl band question
only a 12-24 pan head screw goes there. it holds the cowl panel in at the gas tank.

The early 1930 cowl bands are about 1 1/2" longer on either side as the raised bead along the bottom of the cowl panel stops short of intersecting with the cowl band. These early 1930 bands have different mounting hardware and these clips are used to align the band at the top corners on either side. I HAVE used these clips to align later cowl bands that might have a slight twist in them, but I don't believe they are normally a "must have" item. Good luck. |

Re: 1930 cowl band question
Your tank and cowl side panels look in your picture to have the raised bead that keep the cowl band centered when you install it over that bead and pull it down with the angled studs at the bottoms that bobbader mentioned.
