First Ride
Another model a pick up is now on the road in Maryland. I have put together a 1931 pick up from many different sources. Tonight was my first drive out on the open road. Lots of rattles and noises. But we made it out and back with no issues. Still lots to do to it, but all in time.

Re: First Ride
I know this is a big deal. I remember the two "first rides" I've had and each was a thrill. Congratulations on your accomplishment and many more miles of happy motoring.

Re: First Ride
Walter,
Drive it with GREAT confidence! Look him in the "EYES" and tell him who's BOSS!! I once told my son, Gregg, "If I had stayed single, we wouldn't be having this conversation!!" So, tell the truck that you're his "BOSS-DADDY" Bill W.

Re: First Ride
I posted a similar thread a short while ago. Since then, I find a reason to take a ride every day. Yesterday I gave a ride to a young guy next door who had never ridden in one before. I find that the car seems to be "breaking in" or "loosening up" It's getting better. I had to rebuid the R.F. wheel cylinder and now it's stops without pulling me into the other lane. It get better!

Very nice truck. Seems like the more you drive these things the happier they are. Enjoy !!

Re: First Ride
This is my first Model A project. Been driving for two days now and it gets better each day. Had a over heating issue 210, reset the timing and its good now about 170. found that the steering box need rebuilt. Getting lots of attention every where we go. Plan on going to Hershy for the first time. Hope to get more parts to use on it.

Re: First Ride
The truck looks great. Congratulations and enjoy yourself. Using an "A" when you go to drive thru window is always fun.
