Default Leakless / Greaseless? Water Pump Cartridge

Quick question: I've got the Leakless Water Pump Cartridge shown in the attached picture and there isn't a hole in the side of the cartridge for grease to reach the unit via the external grease fitting. I'm assuming that I simply grease the roller bearing prior to installing the shaft and that that the only way to add more grease at a later time is to disassemble the pump. Am I correct?

I just installed the same from Snyder's and it comes pre-greased/packed no need to add more. So far my pump is leak free and very quiet. I opted to add the thrust collar to the front to control the end play.

Perfect! That's exactly the information I needed - the setup seemed a little odd, but logically it all makes sense. I also purchased the thrust collar. Haven't run the engine yet, but I'm getting closer!
