I have been attending this swap meet for somewhere around 35-40 years. It is still a great swap meet. Of course, nothing is the way it used to be. Years ago they opened the gates on Friday PM and it went through Sunday afternoon. Now it is just one day. This year, the LBMTC is moving it back to Vet's Stadium where it was for many years. That should be a nice change. Compared to 1975, the swap meet is a lot smaller, but it is still a "pure" swap meet with lots of prewar iron to sort through. I always find stuff I need or want. Of course, if you make the trip to Los Angeles, there are plenty of other things to occupy your time before or after the swap meet. Hope to see you there!

Thanks! I have a daughter in Burbank, the one that drove my 1912 T when she was 6 years old, I'm due for a visit and the swap meet would be a nice event to see again. Back in 1975 I'd bought a 1956 Ford pickup in Anaheim, a box of Winfields at Long Beach and drove home in five days. I remember all the overhead conversions people had for sale, and meet a lot of people that I'd read about in the magazines, fun time. Think I'll do it. Bob
