I apologize if I have offended anyone. Lawson asked a question and I answered that question.
Maybe I should have been wise like my friend the owl.

A wise old owl once lived in an oak,
The more he saw the less he spoke,
The less he spoke the more he heard,
Why can't we be like that wise old bird.

And... therein lies one of the many 'problems' that at least one of us 'older-guys' has here. I try to keep my lip-zipped, as much as possible, but I much preferred the group and the format at the 'old' place. I'm trying my best to 'like' what we have, but it's very difficult.

bobH, Hang in there. I think all the folks here are "car lovers" and good people at heart. As a seasoned Fordbarner you can pick, choose and refuse "threads" that bark and bite. That's what I do. Anyhow, your participation is appreciated. And, if a HAMBER gets out of line, Ryan can make him (or her) into Hamburger. Problem solved!

If you see threads that bark, report them... We are gonna have pretty much a zero tolerance policy for any kind of drama here on the Ford Barn.

HAMB = Hokey Ass Message Board

15 years ago, people were begging me to add a message board to the Jalopy Journal. I refused for a few years and finally relented... When I did so, I said, "Here's your hokey ass message board."

Fun Facts:

- The HAMB feeds more eyeballs per month than Street Rodder and Rod & Custom Magazines combined. According to ACN, it is the largest RV focused publication in the world.

- I have zero employees

- Last year, the forum raised over $50,000 for different charities

- I started it when I was a freshman in college

- The HAMB and TJJ was inspired by my good friend and mentor - the late Wally Parks

Ryan,
Thanks for the history lesson. Having been a loyal member of the H.A.M.B. for several years, I knew the true meaning of the acronym. How many eyeballs visit the HAMB is not surprising. You and the many, many, dedicated hot rodders make it worthwhile.

Now let's see if we can do a similar thing with FordBarn!

I loved it at work (Dept of National Defence in Canada) when I asked folks what acronyms stood for and they had even forgotten or didn’t know, but used them. There were so many, it was impossible to remember them all. There were even several acronym “dictionaries”.

Alternative to Thanksgiving Turkey?

Actually I don't go there directly, but have been referred there for various searches and found my answer.

I don't think Ryan can hear you here. This thread is from 2010.

Post #11 is a response to a 13+ year old thread!
