I have JC Taylor on my A and they sent me a non resident proof of coverage insurance form. On my Farmers they don't issue such a form but Canada is covered on my regular policy.

On the cell phone coverage in Canada I checked with ATT and yes there is a $30 fee to cover Canada but on top of that they also charge $1 per minute. If you don't opt for the plan the cost is $1.75 per minute. This is applicable with the plan I'm on I don't know about other options they offer. My cell phone will be OFF and stored in my suitcase.

This is EXACTLY what i have used and worth every penny,. Keep in mind that the hotel will allow you FREE US calls from your room, You can use your cel all the time on wi-fi also and face time if you have an iPhone., This is a basic ATT great offer and I have taken it and suggest everyone else does also...
