My truck has 16s, and did not have hub caps, ordered new and I think they were Vintiques, tabs came pre-bent in the Wave shape. Explains why I was having a problem understanding why people have problems getting theirs off, mounted on by actually bending the tabs over. |

I did not see this discussion and separately created a theread on the benefit of adding hub caps directly to the front hub. It concerned me that when I removed a roadwheel, the greased hub bearing did not have a cap over it.
I assume the rubber O-ring is to provide a seal or is it just an anti-rattle device? I now see thanks to a reply from bucket-o-rust that Snyders has available part no. A-1138 which is a cup which covers the bearing as in later cars. Have many of you used this? Thoughts? |
