Re: getting into the Rumble Seat
As previously promised, the video showing exactly how to get in and out of a rumble seat published this morning- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Rrnqz69Y78
This one was in the works for a long time, but had to keep it hush-hush. Happy Star Wars Day wish at the very end.

Re: getting into the Rumble Seat
Oh man, rumble seats are cool. Reminds me of the time my wife and I were in the rumble seat of my friend's '36 Ford coupe during the Paso Robles Memorial weekend show. My friend hit the gas and we hit 105 mph on the 101, so LOUD and couldn't breathe, we had to duck our heads below the package tray area to seek refuge.

Our church does a "Trunk er Treat" on 10/31. I give rides to the kids and wanta be kids around the church. I always tie the rumble seat lid to the spare incase of a sudden stop.

Re: getting into the Rumble Seat
I made a 2''x3' 3/4 panel wrapped in a soft cloth and tacked it. After the folks are in the rumble, the panel can be eased to the floor.
On a tour one time, a little purple- haired queeny look into the rumble area with misty eyes... My comment was "have you ever fooled around in a rumble seat??" Quietly and wistfully, she murmured" Yes but not with Him (She pointed to her current hubby)...I hugged her. Clelm |

Re: getting into the Rumble Seat
It helps to get in and out of a rumble seat if you are a pre-teen.
My dad had fond memories of riding in a rumble seat as a teenager with a girl and a blanket. That must have been in the 1920's. In the 1930's he was in the CCC trying to help support his parents.
