Model T & Model A Show at the Beardsley Cider Mill
I had an exchange with Dan Beardsley recently, and confirmed that the show at the Beardsley Cider Mill is on again for this year. This is my favorite show all year because it is all our kind of cars. If you are in the southern New England area you want to make it to this gathering. There are always a lot of early Fords, but also the occasional Chevrolet, Dodge, Essex, Hupmobile, Cadillac.... and so on, but all early cars.
Model T/Model A Era Only Car Show and Swap Meet Saturday, May 11th, 9am-3pm with no rain date Beardsley's Cider Mill 278 Leavenworth Rd (route 110), Shelton, CT 06484. Open to cars and trucks of any make, as well as parts and relevant items from 1931 and older FREE for exhibitors, spectators and vendors Breakfast & lunch will be available for purchase from local food trucks, and the distillery will be open. There will also be a tag sale. I am not an organizer of this event, but will try and help if folks have questions. Ken

There were actually two Town Sedans there that year, and a Town Delivery.

Re: Model T & Model A Show at the Beardsley Cider Mill
It is a shame that both Town Cars won't be there. I wonder the whereabouts of those two gems now. Or the other half of the collection for that matter that is not at the Model A museum.

I run into this a lot. A lady called me because her dead husband had left a Town Car in their garage. She did some internet searching and found reference to how rare and valuable the Town Car is, which she thought she had. She was so excited about the gold mine in her garage! I went over to look at it and had to break the news to her that she did not have a Town Car, she had a more common Town Sedan.

It might be. You can't tell from this angle. You need a photo of the rear quarter.

Re: Model T & Model A Show at the Beardsley Cider Mill
Jim, even the rear quarter can be fabricated. Im guessing the originals used an aluminum form over a wood structure.

It is not a copy. Formally from the Tim Kelley Collection.

Both of these, the 30 Town Car and the 30 prototype Town Car Delivery are alive and well. For anyone that attended the 2023 MARC National Meet in Hamilton, Ohio would have been able to see the TCD as it was entered in fine point judging and received a Henry Award.

Re: Model T & Model A Show at the Beardsley Cider Mill
I ended up with a broken throttle return spring. Thankfully, Bratton's got me a new one in just a few days and we are back on the road. Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

Re: Model T & Model A Show at the Beardsley Cider Mill
It was a great day had by all! About 35 pre-war vehicles and perfect weather. I made some good connections too. Cars as far away from Massachusetts and NY! My favorite was the 79-A Panel Truck. I hear it is for sale.
