Dual temp guages
Hello all, I have a 52 ford f1 239 and I am looking to install 2 6volt water temp aftermarket guages to monitor temp on both sides. Has anyone done this that can share where they ordered parts? Thanks!

Re: Dual temp guages
Just change the overheatswitch out for a temp sender and have a 2 way rocker switch to change between right and left side using your original instrument.

Re: Dual temp guages
I used a single pole double throw on mine with factory sending units and ran a wire to each unit then to switch and set the switch for left throw for left head and right throw for right head. Switch was just a couple of dollars and fit in the hole under dash already there.

Re: Dual temp guages
Here's how I installed a mechanical gauge on my 59A. I think it would work the same on yours and two can be installed for each side for twice the price as one.
Can you find my second gauge in my dashboard? Here it is: I didn't want it distracting from the authenticity of my dash board so I put it in the glove box to be able to check it when I want to or just leave the glove box open if it's at a critical temperature and I want to watch it. Otherwise, it's out of site. Installation was less than 30 minutes. Only hole I needed to cut was in the back of the glove box. Sensor passed through my steering column hole with ease. And ran right up to the left side sender port. Gauge cost $17.95 at AutoZone.

Re: Dual temp guages
I installed two mechanical gauges under the dash. One on each side of the wheel. Worked for me at least. But I do like the toggle switch idea so you don't have to add extra gauges.

Re: Dual temp guages
My Lincoln has twin heat gauges (as well as a trans. oil temp gauge) . I like to know at a glance what the temp is. But then I like gauges.

Nothing additional to the topic but would like to say I like your truck. What does the door art read? Steve

Re: Dual temp guages
Westach says that they do have a 12v 2" dual water temp gauge- 2DC3-7 100-260F. It's $121 plus the two senders at $35 ea. compared to generic autometer gauges at $60 ea x2 that come with senders.... $70 to have it on one dial... decisions decisions. At least there is an option! Here's a pic

Re: Dual temp guages
Exactly why I emailed them asking about a model showing F. I was worried about the scale. They gave me the model I listed, since I don't need the high end of the temp scale on a flathead. I linked that pic since they didn't have the F model on their site (even though they make them).
