Default 54 F100 details

Will have a flattie and box to look at maybe tomorrow.

Told it is a 54, so will be the last 8BA available here in OZ.

What gearbox should I expect to find ?

Should I find a 4 speed ( truck size) or a 3 speed (car size) or something else ?

Could be either or even a ford-o-matic. I don't know about Canadian production but most of the early F100 pick ups had the column shifted heavy duty 3-speed and some even had the Borg Warner R10 electric overdrive transmission. The 4-speeds and automatics were less requested options. The F250 & F350 generally had the 4-speeds as standard
