Default service brake shaft arm wear

On the service brake shaft, how much wear is acceptable on where the brake rod pins goes through the arm. The original pins are 5/16. A 5/16 drill bit has a bit of "slop" when pushed into the arm. The oversized pins that venders sell say they need a 11/32 hole. An 11/32 drill bit is no where close to going into the holes on the arms.
So is it best to use original 5/16 pins, or drill out the holes and use over-sized pins?

I would stick with original size pins unless the hole is egg shaped enough to justify drilling it oversized.

Thanks Tom. I was leaning that way anyway, I just needed to hear it from someone with experience.
