Question oval rear window question

I have a question about a T coupe that I found a few years ago that was for sale. It had an oval rear window like a center door. It had been sitting in a farmers field behind an old barn for years and was burried past the axels in the dirt. I cant find any info on this style and the car has sence sold. Can any one inform me on this. Was it factory? What are the dimentions of such window. I ask because I have never seen another one like it and was thinking about making a new rear section for my 27 coupe with this style window. Thanks for any info.

To the best of my knowledge, the oval rear window was Centerdoor only. I would think it is aftermarket or maybe someone adapted the rear panel from a Centerdoor to the Coupe. Are you sure it was Ford?

It was ford. I wasn't sure if it was a prototype that didn't make the it to production or what. The farmer had passed away so I was dealing with his grandson and he didn't know anything about the car except that it had been there as long as he could remember. It was located in Canada if that might help any.

Some of the late teen and early 1920 coupes had rear windows that look a lot like the Centerdoors. They had rounded corners, but they were not totally oval like the centerdoors.

It did look like a center door rear window ( more oval than round in the corners) thats why I can't figure out why it was done the way it was. I liked the way it looked though.

C lay 54, you might try looking at the MTFCA main website, they have a photo gallary section. Click on the coupe selection and look at to 19 to 22 coupes. Some of the rear windows are hard to see as almost all pictures are from the front. You can click on the car you want to see and enlarge the picture.
The later coupes are almost square at the corners.

I just went to the MTFCA like you said Willie in Houston and the only thing that looked like the window was the 1920 centerdoor. I guess this will just be a mistery. . I am going to make a new rear window section and just use a centerdoor for the pattern. Thanks all for the help on this.

The 21 cd is what it looked like. But that is just a centerdoor sedan. It was that window but on a coupe. Its a shame I didn't keep the pictures of it. It was compleet car motor axles running boards even all glass. It was just rusted up and in the ground.
