barn find
I went with four other guys yesterday to look at a "barn find" and figure out how to get it out of the barn and to one of the guys home garage. What we/I found (and I think the owner already knew this and was just pulling our leg about a true barn find) was pristine condition 1929 Murray 4 door Town Sedan.
It has been in his barn for 25 years. No dents, no rust, no rot. Still rolls on very hard Riverside tires. Brake pedal works. Fenders - one small dent on right rear but bead not broken. No patched or broken bead on any of four fenders. Original black paint - faded and dirty but usable as is. Lots of dirt dobbers. Upholstery needs replacing - very bad condition. Wood substructure all there and in very nice condition. No wood replacing. No bb holes in glass. Funny smelling gas. I could describe more but youse guys will have to wait until Friday to see. We go back Fridsy with a trailer to move it and I will take a camera with me. See you Friday night. ken |

Re: barn find
Start it, tune it, clean it, get it able to stop and drive it!!
