Default 1929 Martin Parry panel

Hi,

thought i would post my project; 1929 Martin Parry 500A Imperial Panel Truck.

the photo on the right is from a friend, who's grandfather owned the actual vehicle.

my project is not this vehicle, but one i purchased as a basket case.

Happy to have it though, took me 5 years to find a body for my chassis.

Thanks, sunny

Does your body have that quarter window? That really gives it some personality compared to the average panel truck. Have you picked a color or advertisement theme yet?

yes, it has the quarter window, it is the same as the photo on the right.
i plan the color of the panel body, hood, windshield frame, doors to be Ford green, as is used for model a engines, with black fenders, running boards, splash aprons, headlights.

I have seen one of these restored, it came out of Pasadena, was restored by a friend. On the lower portion of the cowl is a oval brass plate that says Murray Body Co. He has since sold it back to the original family, but had the original bill of sale for both the chassis and the body from the Model A dealer in Pasadena. I posted a photo of the truck a couple of years ago on the Yahoo panel truck site, it has the quarter window like your photos. If you wish to talk to the guy who restored the truck contact me directly. It is also my understanding that later in 1928 Ford offered a complete panel delivery 79A with a Budd body, who also made the 79B. I am putting together a 79A right now.
