I haven't had the bad luck that some have but I have had close calls when I still had the original 6v bulb setup at the rear. For that reason, I opted for the LED lights at the rear and am happy that people see them better than the original style.

I had driven the car for awhile using hand signals but I can't count how many times I go to signal by hand to go into the left hand turning lane and people zoom by me thinking I'm waving them through. I'm not sure if they still teach people in drivers education what the hand signals represent but from what I've seen (cars and bikes included) not very many people know the proper signals unless it's a flashing light.
