I had a problem with one lift on a 235 chevy 6 no matter what i did still have a noise.I think when cam was ground, they messed up and the start,or close,there was more clearance then the area that you would set valve.This could be tested if you were to do it.At the start and close, and when the valve is at its fullest then move it 180 that would be the lowest point.
