Default Re: Air filter

Both of my cars came with the Air Maze filters. I would not recommend them. They restrict air flow, can become saturated with gas and be a fire hazard. I replaced both with the Hi Boy Air filter, using K&N filters. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hi-Boy-Air-F...9dd88d&vxp=mtr

Many say an air filter is not needed. Air filters became standard on engines for a reason. Yes, you might need to adjust the carb. Last weekend I had the carb adjusted on my roadster without the filter. I put the filter back on with no noticeable change in the way the car ran.
