Walt It's Masonite, laid out with a head gasket and trimed to fit, had to counter sink the screws to allow the router plate to sit level, router has a guide and an end mill, worked great.
Ken the paint is acrylic enamel at $50 a gallon with a hardner added at $22, came from paint for cars, also painted my Model A with the same paint. I used a basecoat/clear coat on my pick up, it was to costly for this cheap guy , so I went with enamel. Zeke
