Old stripe will come off real easy with 2000 grit sand paper if you wet sand it off. Then buff and polish where the 2000 grit scratch was. Then the striper can put on a new stripe. But if you don't know what you're doing you can easily sand the paint off underneath the stripe or in the surrounding area. You only want to sand the stripe. Not the area around the stripe as well.
