I have only ever seen an "aftermarket" (and I say that loosely - because it was pretty crappy) manual choke kit that could be put on a 56 Holley 4000 by drilling through the choke cap and manipulating the choke lever that way.

I have never seen anything from the factory for a Holley 4000 that had a manual choke. Have you? do you have any photos? I would be interested to see the setup (if it even exists)

Point noted on the truck. It was only a guess... maybe just one year or so. The Holley 4000's are such orphans.
