Enlarge photo posted by Hot Coupe and study it carefully. That bracket is what you are looking for. Correct bracket has an offset to it, which moves it out from the bed. Flat bracket is for pickup without a bumper. You probably will have to drill new holes for the correct bracket. You probably will have to grind off a rivet to drill one of the holes, but I can't remember exactly, I reiterate, send me an email at [email protected] and I will send you a photo of how it mounts on a Dearborn class 36 truck with a rear bumper.
As Jerry Grayson says, the bracket shown in Mac's book is for a large truck.
