hi people. I have a 239 merc motor , I ordered a new oil pump and received a short type rated at 80 psi. instead of a 50psi long type . question is , could I fit this to my motor in place of the old 50lbs one? if so would I have to change the pressure relief valve spring in the block. also I wish to use the existing original oil gauge and sender if possible, it is in a 1938 81c pickup. thanks wayne.
