Default Re: F100 - 1953 to 1956? Steering Box/Column Disassembly

Well, I guess the “snap ring” wasn’t a snap ring after all. Twisted it out with a flat screwdriver. Managed to loosen things up with a bit of PB Blaster. It wasn’t seized too bad after all. Lol!
Managed to hammer out the sector shaft with a soft blow hammer until it was about an 1/8” from the seal. Then used my hyd press to push it out the rest of the way. While hammering away with the hammer, the tapered roller bearing(s) fell out, and then I was able to pull out the steering input shaft. The pin for the gear on the sector shaft was brazed at both ends. Not sure if this is factory or not. The polished surfaces under the bronze? sleeve bearings are a bit scuffed, but I’m guessing should be ok?
