Re: 29 standard phaeton belt rails
I bought a wood kit for my 29 phaeton made by Classic Wood in NC. The belt rail wood pieces were crap. They were cut with a bandsaw. Ford originally steam bent them. The curved ends broke when I tried to install them, especially the front as the wood had cross grain that easily broke. I decide to make my own by steam bending green (not kiln dried) white ash. It took a long time to accomplish but was many time better than the beltrail wood from CW. I posted some pictures of what I did.
