Here are pics of mine using Wagon Works plans. Per those plans, my 2 X 10 sitting on top of the frame rail goes all the way to the A pillar--no subframe. I do not have any original seats, nor the opportunity to 'test drive' another A, so I am making my own. The WW seat plans just don't appear to be that comfortable. These are from a Honda Civic, and I mocked them up using 2x4s for support until they felt comfortable. Now I am fabbing the steel supports. I have been building this car for about two years--learning a lot. Let me know if I can help
