Had a couple of treads on backfires lately...well mine started backfiring.
I had done some work on it, so why was it backfiring now?
Dummy me...I forgot to snug down the distributor hold down bolt.
Snugged it up, popping gone.

Sometimes it's the simplest things that cause the problems
