Thanks for your detailed insights, MrTexas. Your problems are not confined to DIY spray jobs. I have a mate who is doing up a late 30s Willys and whose painter ran out of paint and then couldn't match the colour. The whole car was rubbed back and resprayed. Now the paint finish has started to craze on some panels. What a nightmare!

Also thought your musings on the "ideal" number of cars was interesting, but of course the right number will vary depending on each individual's circumstances. Thanks.
