Did you replace the T-stat? It may be hanging up and not letting the coolant flow completely. If you did what temp are you running. I may get flamed for this, but I've never had good luck with flex...

I've got the larger 600. I ran this engine with ECZ-B heads which has smaller valves and used an 1850 Holley and it ran good, so I'm figuring with the better heads (which I'm still going to work...

They are the same.The replacement "113" heads had a larger 72cc chamber vs. the 69cc of the "G" heads. You can find all the info for these at ford-y-block.com

Are you using the "jamb nut" style or the later style that uses a nut with an interference fit? I've had issues with the latter loosening prematurely. If your using the interference style the threads...
