Re: Model A touring engine
[QUOTE=P.S.;1085023]I have a motor rebuilt by Turlock Machine. It can run 55 MPH all day in a stock Model A. That doesn't mean as much as you think.
I have a Turlock Machine motor in my pickup...

Re: Who makes the best and most complete..
Thanks Rick for your earlier post about Bauer. I bought mine from Chris he was great. He built mine with turn signals in the cowl and tail lights. Very clean install. I couldn't be happier.

Re: D-nut / Clinch nut
When I did search I used "D-nut/Clinch nut" and got nothing, but after your response I just entered "Clinch" and found more info. I just need to figure out how to use the search more effectively.

Re: D-nut / Clinch nut
The D nuts get peened over but what holds the nut flush while it gets peened. Is there a tool that holds them in place or a tool that can roll the lip over? How was it do when they were made?

D-nut / Clinch nut
I would like to replace some of the D-nuts or Clinch nuts in the sheet metal lip that holds the floorboards. What is the method to remove and replace them?

I didn't hold out as long as Tom before buying a computer , but I did have the same initial reaction. I've been wrong before and I know I will have more mistakes in my future, but not fully...

Re: Rear Brake Shoe Lining Replacement
I'm no expert but I have rebuilt the rear brakes and didn't mind dealing with the emergency brakes. That return spring on the E brake arm was baffling but I figured out a simple way to pull it around...

Re: Amp Meter Mounting
It really did remind me of a Crackerjack compass.
I figured I would have to on go a hunt for the right size o-ring
Thanks

Re: Amp Meter Mounting
Great idea which gives another idea (no old bicycle inner tubes laying around) an o-ring around the back of the gauge and bend the tabs over the o-ring.

Amp Meter Mounting
The amp meter has four tab that get bent over to secure it to the dash panel. I can't seem to get the meter tight enough in the dash panel so it won't rotate when I put the back on. The meter reminds...
