Might want to confirm the cutoff but I thought the F1's had raised side beds thru mid year 1950. If that is true they would work for 49 and some 50's. fwiw...

I use the cheapest I can find... harbour freight. The 3 inch are $7 for 10 and the 4.5 inch are $8 for 10 both on sale half the time. I use a lot of them. I bet others last longer.

F2 is 8 lug.. Dana 60 from pre 73 (57-72) F250/F350 will bolt right up and have 8 lug. like Gearhead1952 stated.
