Need to rent garage space in or near San Jose, CA

I need to rent garage space for my 70 Maverick Drag car.
I would prefer a stall or space that I could do minor work on the car and store my tools.
I would really like a space 10' by 20' so I could...

Re: 523 HP Y-Block!

Yes, it was a Rollermaster. They make some fantastic parts in Australia.
It was a CS-4060 and even looked better in person than the photograph and the quality was far superior to anything made in...

Re: 523 HP Y-Block!

The last Y I helped build certainly fell short of making that kind of HP, but did manage 383HP @ 6000rpm. I am no guru but cam/head/valve train design are certainly the key to making a Y block run....

Re: setting up three 94's for a Y block ?

Ralph,

I think the "myth" about leaving the choke plates in was only aimed at the 97 style Strombers. The Strombergs do run better with their choke plates in and remember the Stromberg and 94 are...

Re: Can anyone ID this Trans????

I don't know about a Y block, but I'm pretty sure it would need sometype of adapter.................not sure.
What did they come in, well from 66 on they came in Dodges, AMC's, Pontiacs, Camaros,...

Re: Can anyone ID this Trans????

Looks like a Borg Warner T10, and although I can't see the front mounting flanges, looks like it could be out of a Ford, maybe 390. The tail shaft is quite long.......................what does the...

Re: setting up three 94's for a Y block ?

Ralph,

I have always used epoxy to plug the idle circuits and then sanded them down on the outside and inside............here is a picture of a mockup I did awhile back for a 312 Y block. As for...

Re: setting up three 94's for a Y block ?

You have really picked just about the best 94 you could for a tripower setup as long as they are all 91-99's.
Don't let anyone fool you, you have a lot of hours to look forward to making these 94's...

What kind of paint does it have?
Are there any cracks?
Does it still have the pop-up hood retainers, one in each corner of the front?

If this is an original and not a repop.................and...

Re: Hotrod flattie

Flathead4dr,

A 404 is not so rare, Pete Samuelson in Seattle/Tocoma grinds them and can supply the lifters with jig and tools needed. I think he uses SBC valve springs but with the high spring...
