I think the disk was installed backwards also. In the third photo you can see witness marks where the throw out bearing was rubbing the disk hub.

This may help. Also check the terminal block on the firewall. The repose often allows the head of each screw to back off at the back and touch the firewall and short out.

I agree.

The trick is to torque only the right side. Then install the carrier and start running the bolts down on the left side evenly and turn the ring gear with your finger until you feel it...

Only the later Mitchell overdrives have these grease fittings. The only lubrication on the older ones is the gear oil that you need to change periodically. The two grease fittings on the later ones...

As the fellow above says, it must be a fully assembled clutch attached to the flywheel. The measurement is from the flat surface of the pressure plate to the top of each finger.
