3.54 Ring & Pinion - 6 spline
New, matched 3.54 Ring & Pinion set. Bought in 2010 from Warren's Vintage Ford Parts and never installed. They are going for $350 new.

AOD would be my choice. It would give you the best good drivability in town and a decent hwy gear. With 0.70 OD, you would be right around 2050 rpm at 65 mph with a 29" tire.

If cruising at 55 is good, then 3.78s should be good.... and there are plenty of good complete 3.78 rear ends around for pretty cheap. Much easier (and cheaper) to swap one out than to change the...

Just a question, but why not leave the 3.54s in for a 5k mile run? (Other than the obvious coolness of the QC.... but your car has plenty of cool without a QC)
