I do not recommend a repro replacement ....try to find an original that has been restored by an reputable restorer... They are out there....sure ..more money but more reliable....repros are more like...

Using a small scissor jack to lift the pan slowly into position will help... better than trying to hold pan manually...also check to see if oil return tube on rear main bearing is present... go...

Also check the distributor cam with a micrometer... Most repro cams are not made accurare on the lobes. Try to stay to an original parts.....hope it helps

A few yrs back, i was at a car show in midland , mi....the guy has a nice old bujck in an enclosed trailer and the floor was covered with carpet with the buick logos on it... like you might have ...
