Westach has both the 20-0-20 and 30-0-30 gauge. They fit the Model A and work perfectly. I installed one last month and I highly recommend it!!!!

I had the same ammeter problem, wouldn't read positive. Didn't monkey around with whose cheap vendor ammeters, bought one from westach. Expensive, be now I KNOW it's going to work for a long time.

Skip the NUREX tool and do it the old fashioned way. Had trouble with that tool on a club members car because the points plate was an after market item.

Sounds like your initial timing is too far advanced. Retime the engine.

If you haven't driven your car in a while, the generator may need polarizing. To polarize, loosen the fan belt and then take a heavy gauge wire and jumper from the starter switch to the generator...

I bought a 6 Volt horn back when A&L was selling to the public (same as CarlG) and it has worked fine for many years. It was money well spent.

I don't see what this experiment tells you. A better experiment, if possible, would be to do this same experiment at 40 MPH with the engine pans in place to see the ACTUAL airflow while cruising.

I decided to run an alternator because at the time I purchased halogen headlight bulbs with the new Bratton's reflectors for better night vision. I don't like the looks of an alternator on a Model A....

3x plug expensive compared to other plugs, but they will last 25-30,000 miles which is probably 15 years worth of driving, that expense over that long a time shouldn't be a problem.

I agree with reply #1 also. Most of the younger drivers don't know what handle signals mean. You definitely need two taillights with bright LED bulbs and turn signals front and rear to safely drive...
